Cals College is an open Catholic school, founded on general Christian values. The school welcomes everyone who respects and values other people’s world-view as well as mankind and nature. The school has locations in IJsselstein and Nieuwegein. These are independent schools that work in close cooperation and their curricula link up well together.

Cals College Nieuwegein is a secondary school near Utrecht, in the middle of The Netherlands. Cals College Nieuwegein is located in a quiet, central spot in Nieuwegein, opposite the Merwestein sports centre. The building is open, well laid-out, safe and light. It can be easily and safely accessed by bike or public transport.

Types of education offered

• pre-university (‘atheneum’ and ‘gymnasium’)

• bilingual pre-university (‘atheneum’ and ‘gymnasium’)

• senior general secondary (‘havo’)

The school has 1700 pupils from Nieuwegein and further afield.We offer education to students aged 12-18, at the highest two levels of Dutch secondary education: HAVO (higher general secondary education, a five-year course) and VWO (pre-university education, a six-year course).
